The International Mediterranean Tourist Market (IMTM) 2014 Tel Aviv

Israel’s booming tourist industry has a flagship convention held every year in Tel Aviv. Under the auspices of the Israel Ministry of Tourism, the 20th International Mediterranean Tourist Market (IMTM) Fair is due to open in Pavilion 1 at the Israel Trade Fairs and Convention Center in north Tel Aviv February 11-12 2014.

This year representatives from more than 30 countries are expected to attend from places as diverse as Vietnam, Colombia, Papua New Guinea, Thailand and Malta as well as about 150 foreign travel agents.

Exhibits

Exhibits on ingoing and outgoing tourism, domestic Israel tourism and several foreign exhibits will be on display here. Packed into this intense two day conference will be workshops, press conferences, seminars, events and presentations. Mornings from 10:30 am to 2 pm are for tourism professionals to tour the booths, meet with colleagues and exchange ideas. Afternoons are open to the general public from 2 pm to 7 pm, many of whom come looking for some new and exciting information on tourist destinations.

Here is a list of the exhibits which includes attractions like the Barkan Wine Experience, Land of the Galilee in the North, Agamon Hula (Birding), Kfar Blum Kayaks, Nazareth Village, Timna Park, the Chai Negev Ecological Village and more. There are exhibits of Israeli towns like Eilat, Ashdod, Haifa, the gateway to Galilee and Bat Yam that borders on Tel Aviv Jaffa and has fantastic beaches. Airline companies, cruises, hotels, tour guides, car rental agencies are also on exhibit. Foreign travel companies and embassies have booths like Japan, India, Italy, Spain, the Baltic countries, Argentina, Greece, Portugal, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Armenia, Georgia, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Serbia, Croatia, Belarus, Hungary, Kenya and more!

Entrance is free of charge! If you are in Tel Aviv at this time stop in and you can pick up information about all kinds of attractions and places to visit both inside and outside of Israel! Spend the morning enjoying Tel Aviv such as visiting the Diaspora Museum or by touring old historical Jaffa and after 2 pm pop over to the exhibition and tour all the fascinating booths.
